POSTERS

MIDEO CRUZ

I met Mideo Cruz today, aninstallation artist from the Philippines who does provocative work with soundscapes and sensory bombardments. He's usually an active part of his own pieces but he only interacts with viewers if he's not cold. Most of his stuff is a highly political commentary on capitalism, wealth, and greed. He is all about blood, violence, Coca Cola, the color white, Disney, and blasphemy. He wears a silver butterfly in his right ear. He collected the bones for this piece for ten years, and the meat is fresh raw lamb. Check out THE NEW WORLD DISORDER, his international artist's movement. He's quite softspoken.

LITTLE MINX EXQUISITE CORPSE

When I was compiling some shorts for the MFA I came upon this website from some LA agency that represents a few young directors mainly for like "hip" commercials and music vidz but they apparently let some of them do creative pieces as well.

One of them is like if the entire film "Crash" was turned into a music video but the Chris Nelson one is pretty funny and completely entertaining. It was one of the ones we screened at the Museum and people really liked it. The indie cred is tOtALLy lEg!t too because they play some Panda Bear.

The website is littleminx.tv
They all have these completely unnecessarily pretentious names like "and then she turns around and admired the condescending moonlight" and they are all under the umbrella name of "LITTLE MINX EXQUISITE CORPSE" which is preposterous but amazing.

They let me screen it for free but I had to use the exquisite corpse name.
