snozzcumbers and frobscottle

i am dying. literally making the 6 ft. journey underground because of the quinten blake exhibit going on at the MUSEUM OF CHILDHOOD in england. Have already looked at plane tickets in a fervor of blind excitement.
Still clutching the letter I received after sending Q. Blake a fan letter (and my 9 year old portfolio) in 1996.
Also i suspect the BFG (as pictured above) is wearing Cheap Mondays (w. 28 l. 78).

PRADA WEARS JOHN WESLEY

the prada foundation in venice has put together the largest exhibit of the illlustrator's work. the wes-man tends to "hide" social and cultural commentary behind comic book style images. he has a wicked book out that is aptly named "the bumsteads". props to prada for recognizing this dude. plus the italians celebrating a non-italian artist? coolies.

A LOVER'S CONCERTO

The melody is based on Bach's "Minuet in G major", and was featured in Mr Holland's Opus. When you put effort into the staging and a proper beehive you get mentioned in the big leagues, that's all I'm saying. Yeah i'm talking to you Blaque.

ILLO ILLO

part of the movie poster for the film "metropolitan", by pierre le-tan.
this movie needs to mirror my life (arm ruffles aside) but if there is ever to be an illustrated adventure of my life (which is so totally NOT out of the picture) then i'd like pierre to create it.

le sighhhh

WTF.

apparently this is a promo for a band called Nodern, but click the "watch film" after clicking this image and see what happens when someone gives that crazy lady who hangs out at the bookstore film equipment and some bad PCP.

LITTLE MINX EXQUISITE CORPSE

When I was compiling some shorts for the MFA I came upon this website from some LA agency that represents a few young directors mainly for like "hip" commercials and music vidz but they apparently let some of them do creative pieces as well.

One of them is like if the entire film "Crash" was turned into a music video but the Chris Nelson one is pretty funny and completely entertaining. It was one of the ones we screened at the Museum and people really liked it. The indie cred is tOtALLy lEg!t too because they play some Panda Bear.

The website is littleminx.tv
They all have these completely unnecessarily pretentious names like "and then she turns around and admired the condescending moonlight" and they are all under the umbrella name of "LITTLE MINX EXQUISITE CORPSE" which is preposterous but amazing.

They let me screen it for free but I had to use the exquisite corpse name.
