FAMILYFAMILYTREE BLOG PROJECT 2008-2010
.......................................
This blog existed from October 2008 until December 2009. While it lasted, it was a place for friends to share, create, and have fun. FamilyFamilyTree has since moved on to other things. Now, this site exists as a tomb.

DANSE DU SERPENTINE
I've been looking at movement. This is Loie Fuller in 1896 as one of the first dancers to work with light as a focused source. She covered her body in fluorescents and died of radium poisoning.
later on came a sorta of dying system, or stamping, where they could do multiple frames at a time. but yeah, it was tedious work that was given to a staff of women primarily
How did they film in color in 1896? Or am I am just stupid about post production.
ReplyDeleteEither way this is amazing
they had people hand paint it, frame by frame.
